Personal Digital Audio & Video Converting Guide
Converting videos into MP4 or 3GP is a common process because these kind of video formats are being used widely on small devices such as cellphones or Mp4 Players and I am sure you use them occasionally.
There will be 2 kind of processes here: Convert the whole video into Mp4 or 3Gp and Cut/extract a part of the video first then convert it into those formats.
Convert the whole video
Run SUPER. Drop the source video into it then set the encoding settings as shown on the screenshot. Select the video size to match with your cellphone or your Mp4 Player screen size then click the [Encode(Active Files)] button - it’s done.
You can experiment with the settings but as I had tested here, that is the setting that works with my Samsung E590 cellphone.
Cut the video first
If your source video comes from VCD, you may try this method to cut it first. If it is DVD try this method to cut it, but if it is not a vcd or dvd, or if for some reason the first two methods do not work, you can download and run VidSplitter then open the video you want to cut. Select RAW (uncompressed), 15 Fps (frame per second) for video setting and PCM for audio.
VidSPlitter is a video splitter, if the result is 200MB and you set the size of output as Flash Drive128MB) it will store the result in two files. So, don’t forget to check the [DVD Disk] checkbox for size of output to force the result stored in a single file.
Above the [Play] and [Stop] button there is a marker. Mark the area of the video you want to extract by moving the slider. Test play it to make sure you have the correct area you want. Finally, click the [Start] button.
When you have the video result from VidSplitter, process it with SUPER same as described above to get the MP4 or 3GP video for your cellphone.
