Personal Digital Audio & Video Converting Guide
On the other day I had posted an article to show you how to extract/cut a portion of a video from a VCD using Free Video Dub. Today I will show you how to extract a portion of a video from DVD. I thought Free Video Dub which is very good with VCD can also process DVD but it’s not capable of. VidSplitter can process DVD but for unknown reason the audio result from VidSplitter process is not good enough on my machine.
I keep searching for a better DVD cutter and last night I found one, had it tested and I decided that it is good enough for home use. It’s called Chopper XP. Please go to their website and download it so you can follow my tutorial today.
Using ChopperXP is quite simple. You just need to set the Mark In and Mark Out using both the [Mark In] and [Mark Out] buttons to select the area you want to extract then from [File] menu choose [Save vob as] and it’s done. You can then convert the extracted VOB into Mp4 or get only the audio as Mp3, it’s up to you.
